A Good Companion: Guide for Local Authority Arts Officers
This guide has been developed to help local arts officers understand the area that they are working in. It is, however a good source of information for anyone wanting to understand the nature of their region, how the arts help to deliver local authorities' priorities and who else is working in the arts in the same area.
Communities and Local Government
The Communities and Local Government website contains a wide range of content about current and developing policy, including all official publications, selected older publications and many other types of content ranging from research reports to ministerial statements. It also contains a range of interactive tools and services ranging from discussion forums to Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds. It is a large website and new content is added daily.

Find out useful information on how to obtain a Creative Commons License. Creative Commons provides free tools for authors, artists and educators to mark their creative work with the freedoms they want it to carry. Their service is free and follow national contact and copyright law as well as offering protection of the author's moral rights.

East Midlands Intelligence
Intelligence East Midlands is the regional observatory for the East Midlands. It aims to improve access to research and intelligence and to improve the quality and relevance of research undertaken in the region. Their website allows you to search the research database, find information and statistics, discover reports and strategies and search for other useful websites in the directory.
East Midlands Rural Affairs Forum
The East Midlands Rural Affairs Forum (EMRAF) provides a forum for sharing information on issues and initiatives affecting rural areas. EMRAF's role is to champion rural interests in the region by identifying issues of concern, giving views on new regional proposals and promoting the development of regional initiatives with the aim to improve the quality of life in the region's rural areas. There is a Rural Affairs Forum for each Government Office region outside London.
EUCLID
EUCLID provides European and international information, research and consultancy services to the cultural sector. Their services include providing an online searchable database of cultural project funded by the EU, an Alert newsletter providing information on funding opportunities from the EU, Cultureuro seminars that proivde an overview of European funding opportunities and fact sheets on EU opportunities for cultural organisations.
Funder Finder
FunderFinder is a small UK charity producing software and other resources, mainly for grant-seekers. They specialise in information and advice about charitable trusts and foundations that fund in the UK. They list charitable funding for individuals, community groups and voluntary organisations.
Grant Finder
Established in 1985, GRANTfinder is a user-friendly funding database carrying details in excess of 4, 000 UK and EU grants, loans, venture capital and advisory programmes. Organisations benefiting from GRANTfinder’s services include: local authorities; universities; housing associations; the health sector; business support agencies and national charities.

This site offers descriptions and linnks for a wide range of websites that provide support and information to help small businesses and social enterprises in the Peak District area.
SOFII
A new website has been set up to provide fundraisers everywhere with a comprehensive, easily accessible archive of the best fundraising creativity from around the world. All the information on www.sofii.org has been compiled to inform, guide and help fundraisers when preparing their own fundraising strategies, campaigns and promotions. In this way SOFII aims to improve fundraising practice everywhere for the benefit of fundraisers, donors and the organisations and causes they all serve. It’s also free to join, providing you are currently working in a non-profit organisation/charity.
