Summer at Southwell Artspace: Adam Dant Exhibition

Exhibition of Jerwood Drawing Prize Winner Adam Dant

Thanks to the support of Hales Gallery and The Hayward, Southwell Artspace is proud to host an exhibition of the work of Adam Dant, winner of the Jerwood Drawing Prize and a drawing visionary on the international contemporary art scene.

Adam Dant’s large comic-style artworks have got us thinking about summer-time doodling and local talent. So there will be a chance for all visitors to draw on the walls and Summer Comic Sessions for young people. For those who might prefer actually taking some art home we have prints by studio artist, Stuart Parkinson on sale. Scenes from Southwell market get their own intense, pencil treatment.

This is a satellite exhibition of ‘Cult Fiction’ at Nottingham Castle and consists of a selection of pieces from ‘The People who live on the Plank’ series, commissioned by the Drawing Room, London in 2001.
