Supporting independent businesses in market towns
As large shopping centres attract key multiple retailers and command the highest rental values, market towns across the country have suffered relative decline. They are now increasingly reliant on independent businesses to attract visitors and local catchments, yet post offices, pubs, banks and small retail businesses are closing at a worrying rate.
This event will draw on national best practice to explain how independent businesses in market towns and rural areas can be supported. Field experts will deliver part of the programme and then it is over to you!
In an exciting new twist to the usual event format, delegates will be asked to come prepared to exchange their experiences and solutions relating to the key subject. Although not compulsory, delegates will get the opportunity to 'tell it how it is' in their towns!
