The Six-hour Coffee Break

Parish Rooms, Wirksworth, Derbyshire

Wednesday 18 April 07 from 10am – 4pm

People say that it’s in the conference coffee breaks that they make contacts and get new ideas, so EMARAN has organised a day that is dedicated to just that – the six hour coffee break that will refresh you and spark your imagination.

There will be talks, planning sessions, debates as well as a chance to visit artists in Wirksworth, and to look at how the town is using the arts and creative industries to regenerate itself. This is a day for artists, arts development officers, creative professionals, managers and anyone else active in the arts in rural areas.

The day will offer you a chance to find out about and get involved in the development of EMARAN, to have ideas about what we can do and meet the right people to help make these ideas happen. It is also an opportunity to find out about developments in rural policy and the new resources that these could make available in the East Midlands.

This is your chance to help EMARAN become a real voice for the arts in rural areas, one that is informed by and representative of the whole region’s cultural communities.

The conference is free, and to reserve a place please email arts NK for a booking form on arts.nk@leisureconnection.co.uk Places are limited, so please book promptly. For more details call 01529 410595.
