Introduction to Arts Sponsorship Seminar
Wednesday 6th February, Derby
There are still places available on the next Arts & Business Introduction to Arts Sponsorship Seminar which is being held in Derby on Wednesday 6th February (9:45am-4:45pm).
The seminar is designed to raise the understanding of arts sponsorship and to give practical guidance to artists and arts organisations on the best ways to go about obtaining and developing it. It is aimed at those who have no sponsorship experience as well as those who wish to refresh themselves of the fundamental principles and practice of this important element of the arts funding mix.
The seminar is very interactive, with plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas and experiences with other delegates. After the seminar you are also entitled to a one-to-one follow-up surgery session with one of the A&B East Midlands team for further, more tailored, sponsorship advice.
Details
The cost is £80+VAT per attendee (10% discount for members of the Arts & Business East Midlands Development Forum). This includes lunch, materials, follow-up work, and the Arts & Business Sponsorship Manual (worth £15.00).
Introduction to Board Membership
Friday 8th February 2008, Nottingham
The half-day Introduction to Board Membership session on Friday 8th February (10:00am–1:00pm) will help you to understand the basics of board membership. The course introduces new board members to their roles and to their legal and financial responsibilities, and offers insight into how to be effective in the role of board member through case studies and reference to models of good practice. It is also useful for current board members and Chief Executives who wish to update their knowledge of governance.

The cost is £25+VAT per attendee (10% discount for members of the Arts & Business East Midlands Development Forum). This includes refreshments and handouts.
