Leicestershire Farm Diversification
There are a collection of case studies included here. All of them are examples of farm or small-holding owners diversifying their income generation using cultural activities. These case studies are all taken from the research conducted by Culture East Midlands that led to the report 'Farm Diversification and Culture' that is available in full from the resources pages of this website. The material for each case study came from interviews with the owners and farmers themselves. read more
Centre Screen
Centre Screen takes mobile film screening equipment into village halls and other community-based venues throughout Leicestershire and Rutland, so that those who might otherwise have to travel some distance to cinemas can enjoy film on their doorstep in an informal environment. read more

PROGRESS: Development Programme for Small or Emerging Arts Organisations
PROGRESS is the new development programme managed by Cultivate, the development agency for cultural audiences and organisations in the East Midlands. It operates in partnership with Creative Launchpad, Creative Leicestershire and Derbyshire Arts Development Group, and is funded by Arts Council England. read more

EMARAN Autumn conference report and further information
The third EMARAN conference, Market Towns and Cultural Currency, took place in Newark on November 7 2007. There were presentations from Newark town council about their local projects and an update on their research into measuring the economic impact of cultural activities.
