Submitting news items

You can submit news items by emailing news[AT]ruralculture-em.org

We do not have an automated service so after you submit, your information will be read by our editor and included on the site if it is appropriate.

Our news section is a place where we can share opportunities, news and information about organisations and groups working on cultural activities in the rural parts of the East Midlands. We also include information that might be found useful by these same people.

We do try to include all the potential news items that are sent to us but there are occasions when your information may not be uploaded on to the site. This will normally be for one of the following reasons:

All information is included at the editor's discretion. Press releases and copy may be shortened or altered as is appropriate for the website.

Site Content

The points listed above also guide our selection of other material to include on the site such as publications and websites in the resource section and case studies. Our focus is on the arts, museums, libraries and heritage in the public and voluntary sectors in the rural east midlands and our content is chosen in order that it will inform and be useful to those working in these areas. We will also include information that highlights or furthers understanding of the role of culture in rural development.
